Corrections and changelog

Errors happen. When one is found, it is fixed on the page and recorded here with the date. To report a problem, see the corrections policy.

  • Re-checked sources for the Hydra and Garantex case pages. The later status of Hydra's alleged administrator is now described as unconfirmed, since one report says the man arrested in Moscow only shares the name, and the extradition status of Garantex's co-founder arrested in India is stated as unknown. The Operation CICERO figures on the professional enablers page were confirmed against the FATF report, and Westpac details were checked against AUSTRAC filings.

  • The red-flags-by-industry pages repeat red-flag lists from the technique pages, so they are now marked noindex and left out of the sitemap. They remain available to readers.

  • Added a statement on every page and a How AI is used section on the About page. The site is drafted with AI assistance (Claude, by Anthropic) and published under the named author. The footer no longer says the pages are written and edited by a person alone.

  • Corrected the date of British Columbia's first unexplained wealth order to November 30, 2023, per the British Columbia government's announcement.

  • Removed a count of Ethereum addresses attributed to the FBI's February 2025 Bybit alert. The alert lists addresses but does not state a count, and independent counts disagreed.

  • The site moved to cleanonpaper.com. All canonical URLs, the sitemap and feeds now use the new domain.

  • Corrected TD Bank's unmonitored transaction figure: the US$18.3 trillion covers January 2018 to April 2024, not 2014 to 2023.

  • Corrected the year of Howard Wilkinson's first complaint about Danske Bank's Estonian branch to 2013, per the sources cited on that page.
